This was a fun painting project. The background paper was painted with acrylic and collaged with rice paper. Then watercolor pieces were sewn onto the paper to give glimpes of the canyon walls of Lake Powell. The beauty of this painting really doesn't show well in a photo. The dimensional aspects of it along with the gold thread holding the watercolor pieces onto the background make this painting very interesting.
