Encelia is a beautiful blooming shrub that you see arrayed along desert hills, blooming right now in the desert. 'Incienso' is the name in Spanish; it's a member of the sunflower family. I painted this to capture the beautiful pattern of leaves and the flower stalks, bending in the breeze and radiating towards the sky.

Email me for details.
Chief David Beautiful Bald Eagle
was born in a tipi in 1919 and spoke only
Lakota until he went to school at age 12.
He grew up and fought in World War II,
acted in movies, became a race car driver, and
rode bareback broncs and bulls in the pro rodeo.
At 92 years of age, he still rides his horses.
He is highly respected and has always tried
to create harmony between the races.
He says "I get along with everybody, Indians and
non-Indians alike. I treat them all alike.
They treat me the same."
He truly is a beautiful spirit.
